10 point AT&T question!!!!?

So My contract ends on august 4th, my mom, me, and my grandmothe share a plan, well when our contracts up my moms leaving our plan and getting a new one with my little brother, well I have the lg xenon which they don't even make anymore and it's soooo beat, the phone is bound to stop working anyday, and my bestfriend has an iPhone and told me you can get an upgrade 4 months before your due upgrade, well how do I know when my upgrade is? If I do get an upgrade, I want a blackberry torch, will I have to pay like 300$ for it since my contract isn't up? & also, if Isis upgrade would I have to renew my contract another two years?
